When you walk into a training session with us, everything you do has a purpose.

Every exercise, every rest period, and every choice of equipment is carefully planned to give you the best results possible — both in performance and long-term progress.

Here’s a breakdown of why we train the way we do.

1. Strength Work Comes First

We start sessions with your main strength exercise for a reason.

Strength requires focus, energy, and precision — and you give your best when your body is fresh.

By placing this exercise first, we ensure you can:

- Maintain proper form

- Lift safely and effectively

- Build strength progressively

We also control tempo (the speed at which you move) and rest periods.

Tempo ensures your muscles are challenged through controlled movement, and it encourages more time in the phase of movement where the most strength is developed.

Then specific rest intervals help you recover enough to maintain intensity without burning out or losing efficiency in your strength sets.

2. Equipment Variety is Purposeful

You might notice from session to session that your main lift changes - barbell one week, a dumbbell the next.

This isn’t random.

We vary equipment to:

Layer progressions in your movements to safely increase difficulty and skill without compromising technique

Match how you’re feeling on the day
